Today, I wanted to go on a "lunch date" and so we did!
We went to Jack Astors because I've been wanting to try that place for so long!
I ordered the half portion of ribs and D ordered the jerk porc.
The food was not bad, I really liked my sweet potato fries.
We should have probably ordered something that was more popular from the menu though, because what we ate was pretty ordinary. =/
After lunch, D went to his uncle's place to watch soccer, so he dropped me off with D.S. and J.
I really wanted to eat guacamole, so we went to buy the stuff needed and went home to prepare it.
It was pretty good, but it's not something that I can eat a ton of... or else it'll make me sick!
A was there too, and they went to do their guy stuff so J and I went shopping around, and I didn't buy anything! I'm getting good at this lol.
We went back home and D came by too, so we watched a movie called Mirror Mirror, which was so boring! The ending is really weird too, and we were all looking at the TV like wtf.
& we ended the night by playing Big 2. Oh so typical asian.

lunch date.
Today we randomly decided to go eat Korean food, because we were both so hungry with nothing to eat!
I really wanted to try Hwang Kum, and so that's where we went!

23.
Last week, D turned 23!
We went to eat lunch at Ben & Florentine and it was pretty yummy!
After lunch, we had to run some errands which wasn't too fun, and we also ended up washing his car after. By hand!
For dinner, we went to eat at Madisons!
No pictures, but we basically took the same thing as last time... chicken fingers and ribs!
Their coleslaw is the best!
Yup, and that was it!

bad teeth.
Back to blogging!
The reason why I haven't blogged in a while is because I didn't feel well.
I kept on getting toothaches constantly and it seriously messes up your mind.
Since it's so close to the brain, the pain is so much more present and consistent.
But before I get into that story, I'll do a little update of the things that I remember. LOL.
Lately I haven't been doing much really, and it has already been 7 weeks that the strike is going on.
I've heard that Maisonneuve and Saint-Laurent colleges have offered their students to refund their semester, which worries me a lot. I'm pretty sure that it'll happen soon for my school, and it'll also mean that I won't be obtaining my DEC. Plus, I won't be able to go to University. Sigh*
Anyhow, with that said, I went to Wal-Mart a little while back, and I bought a storage system thing, and set it up to be a little add-on to BumBum's cage. Now she can run around a bit more, without eating up my stuff!
On Friday, my teeth started to really hurt.
I barely ate anything because I was in so much pain.
Then on Saturday I had gotten so bad, I was taking Tylenol constantly and I didn't eat the whole day.
I barely slept the night before and I wanted to pull my tooth out. -_-
We went to J's place, and they were doing geeky computer stuff all day, while I annoyed the heck out of her cats.
That night, I tried to put ice on my cheek and it hurt even more.
The pain was so strong, I had tears.
But then, the next day, the pain was gone.
I went to eat dinner with A and J, at Mrs. Amigos!
I've never eaten there before, and I know that N's mom owns it, but I never thought that they served Caucasian food.
I got a clam chowder, which was okay, and a salmon thing. It was so delicious! Cooked outside, still soft and a bit raw inside... yum!
I didn't take pictures of the food, but I did when we got dessert!
After that meal, my tooth was aching again, but my dentist appointment (that I've been waiting a month for) was Monday.
I don't think I'll bother telling the story of my dentist's incompetence, but basically, they changed my appointment without telling me, and had me waiting for an hour, lost my medical records (which I can actually sue them for), and made me pay 84$ for nothing.
As it turns out, I had a root canal, which I went to fix yesterday.
I've always had the worst luck with dentist. Braces for 5 years, wisdom teeth taken out and bleeding for 2 weeks.
Yeah, so I actually went to find another dentist for my root canal therapy, and it usually takes 1:30 to do. In my case, it took 3 hours. What the beep.
And the total for my root canal treatment and a crown is 2000$.
Where the heck do I get 2000$ from. -_-

Last Thursday, I finally used my coupon that I bought from LivingSocial to eat at Boccacinos in downtown.
In all honesty, the food and drinks were good, but the service was horrendous.
Never in my entire life have I had a worse service than that.
When our place was assigned, we took a look at the menu, decided what we wanted to eat, and waited 20 minutes for her to come. And she wasn't even going to come if we didn't call her.
She was never there to serve her tables, I don't even know what the heck she does as a waitress. Even the tables around us were pissed because they've been waiting a long time to order. When we wanted to leave, I had to ask the busboy for our receipt because she never passed by... and when she came back, the 40$ coupon wasn't deducted from the bill. Since she was still gone to Nanaland, I had to ask the hostess to find her. When she came back, she said "Ok, so it will be 6 dollars, but the bill was actually 46 dollars, so you have to tip on the 46 dollars." How freaking rude. For what would I have to tip for? For me having to run around the restaurant asking other people to find you?
Anyways, I gave her 10% tip, which is the amount you're supposed to tip anyway, and she was pissed. Said thanks rudely and didn't say goodbye.
I've never been so mad leaving a restaurant before... and so I went home and wrote them a letter.
The owner e-mailed me back, and offered us a 25$ discount next time we go, which we probably won't even bother with.

pillow making.
For our 18th month anniversary, in other words, a year and a half, I decided to make a pillow/cushion for D.
Little did I know, it came out to be the most annoying thing to make.
I hate sowing.
It shouldn't be too hard if you have experience with sowing, but it was such a pain for me. -___-''
In total, it took me about 6 hours... but that's because I was tired and also because I began at midnight.
Here's what you need;
You will also need thread (the kind for normal sowing) and scissors.
Steps;
1. Know what size of a pillow/cushion you want yours to be, and cut it out from the fabric.
2. Sow it with a sowing machine, as well as the zipper.
3. Once you have your "envelope" done, you want to cut out whatever you want to write or the shapes from your felt sheet.
4. Sow your shapes using the large needle and thick thread!

updates.
I did my internship at Kiva Design, and it was pretty fun!
I didn't have an overload of things to do, but I still learned some stuff here and there.
One morning, they brought some pastries from Olive & Gourmando, and their croissants were so good I almost died.
I also brought D to Gourmet Burger, since he's never been before. Yummm!
Tuesday was also Valentines day, which we don't celebrate.
D & I also haven't really talked since Wednesday from the week before, so I really wasn't expecting anything at all.
Surprisingly, the florist rang at my door and delivered some roses.

16.
Yesterday was our 16th month together.
We don't always "celebrate" or anything, but when we have the time to, we try to do something on that date.
We decided to just go grab dinner, but we haven't picked a specific place.
D wanted to go eat in Saint-Constant, which I had no idea why.
He drove on the 132 highway and we go out at some exit to Candiac. We saw some Christmas lights so D turned and it was a skating rink! A very big one, and it's outside.
Just ahead, I saw an unbelievable amount of lights and so I suggested we go see.
This house was overwhelmed by lights!
As it turns out, D wanted to eat at St-Constant only because he wanted to show me this house, since we always cruise around to see the Christmas lights and decorations.
There's a street similar to Tachereau there, with a many restaurants, but nothing really looked appetizing.
Until I saw Madisons! It's kind of similar to The Keg, but D never went there so I thought it would be a good place for him to try out!

Chicken tenders as appetizer!

After that we had to get some papers signed for his dad at the Montreal General Hospital.
On our way, we kind of got lost, and we had to take a route and it had many "caution, deers" signs. It's pretty rare that we can see them, because they don't usually go that far out. Luckily, I saw two!!! So happy!
Anyhow, I have this fear with hospitals... Seeing people on those beds and the packets of blood and sodium water needled in people's arms... It stresses the heck out of me.
The receptionist was also very incompetent. -_-
We asked to sign papers that were proof of his dad's sick days, and she kept on asking us if we had to sign those papers because his dad had to pay the hospital... what the..!
Anyways, it was a total waste of time because she told us to come back another day.
