16.

Yesterday was our 16th month together.
We don't always "celebrate" or anything, but when we have the time to, we try to do something on that date.

We decided to just go grab dinner, but we haven't picked a specific place.
D wanted to go eat in Saint-Constant, which I had no idea why.
He drove on the 132 highway and we go out at some exit to Candiac. We saw some Christmas lights so D turned and it was a skating rink! A very big one, and it's outside.
Just ahead, I saw an unbelievable amount of lights and so I suggested we go see.
This house was overwhelmed by lights!

As it turns out, D wanted to eat at St-Constant only because he wanted to show me this house, since we always cruise around to see the Christmas lights and decorations.

There's a street similar to Tachereau there, with a many restaurants, but nothing really looked appetizing.
Until I saw Madisons! It's kind of similar to The Keg, but D never went there so I thought it would be a good place for him to try out!

Chicken tenders as appetizer!

After that we had to get some papers signed for his dad at the Montreal General Hospital.

On our way, we kind of got lost, and we had to take a route and it had many "caution, deers" signs. It's pretty rare that we can see them, because they don't usually go that far out. Luckily, I saw two!!! So happy!

Anyhow, I have this fear with hospitals... Seeing people on those beds and the packets of blood and sodium water needled in people's arms... It stresses the heck out of me.
The receptionist was also very incompetent. -_-
We asked to sign papers that were proof of his dad's sick days, and she kept on asking us if we had to sign those papers because his dad had to pay the hospital... what the..!

Anyways, it was a total waste of time because she told us to come back another day.

les glaceurs.

So I went to Les Glaceurs on Tuesday, and we got 8 cupcakes!

I used to go to the one in Old Montreal,  but since they opened the one in downtown, it's just a lot more convenient.

We got a vanilla, vanilla strawberry, banana, moka, chocolate, orange chocolate and gingerbread eggnog.

I  must say, they aren't as good as people have hyped about them.
The base of the cupcakes are all the same, when you take vanilla or chocolate or moka ones, it's only the icing that's different.

Their icing is also extremely sweet.

The ones from Petits Gateaux situated in Mont-Royal are a lot better.
They have tons of flavors and each of them are completely different from one another.
Their icing is also very yummy and not overly sweet.

camping.

We went to camp at Oka on the 1rst of July.
We were lucky that the weather was nice, because it was supposed to rain.
I never went to Oka before... so I didn't expect that there would be a long line up to get to the camping site, or even just the beach. I don't know why they don't try to make it go faster, because an hour and a half of wait is an hour and a half of wasted gas.

birthday.

I was video chatting with D last night, and when it hit midnight, he wished me happy birthday.
& then he said: "Hey, lets do a treasure hunt!"
Me: "Like... now?! It's so late..!"
Him: "Look in the second drawer under your bed!"

He came by my house around 11 A.M., and we cooked breakfast together! We made crepes with Nutella. Yom!

We talked about the renovations I'll do later on this summer in my room, and then we went to watch Transformers 3.

We went to eat dinner afterwards, at a very random place called La Perle Noire.

Best birthday.
